I really love KT Morrison's books and how she really gets into character development vs many writers in the erotic genre that simply focus on empty sex. This is book five of the series and each book has tons of eroticism in it followed by characters with their own ambitions and frustrations. Betrayal at some point seems to be an overriding theme in this writers stories and they really draw you in. Highly recommend

This book is fantastic! It continues to build upon the scenarios of the previous books of this story, however you could purchase and read this book as a stand-alone novel and understand the story line. Either way, it's a MUST read and definitely worth the price of admission. KT Morrison's books entrap your emotions with each character, it's what sets her apart from most other authors within this genre, and this book is no exception. This book is a page turner, you'll continue to think about it when you're NOT reading about it, and has us on edge for the next installment!

This is an important phase in Reza's relationship with Jonny and Charlie. Reza becomes contractually connected to Jonny's company forever. Reza and Charlie are now taking trips to Caribbean islands without Jonny with Reza spending money on things that Charlie will always have and remember where it came from. Reza is showing Charlie another life, and while Jonny fails to keep up his work at home waiting for every update, Reza sends them to him in the manner he chooses, creating the narrative he wants, knowing he's got him under lock-and-key, which is also literally true. The rules that Reza have put in place for Jonny and Charlie continue to expand and evolve to the point where even the lone day where Reza offers the two a moment of semi-normalcy, is taken over by their landlord. The two can make lemonade out of lemons all they want, but when they look back on each moment of their past few months, one man will always be adjusting his cufflinks with a twisted smile. Seeds of doubt that Reza has already planted are starting to take root and grow. There's little question that Charlie and Jonny love each other dearly, but is Charlie always telling Jonny the truth, and why would Jonny doubt that? Is Jonny doing enough to get them out of the life they've found themselves in? Is Charlie getting everything she deserves, is there a better life for her? Can Jonny or Charlie truly believe anything that Reza says, even when he's right? Reza is an absolute nightmare of a man and his influence over Charlie and Jonny seems to know no bounds, and as surprises continue to lurk around every corner, it's good for Jonny that he has a team to help him complete his game undistracted, otherwise it's hard to imagine this game ever getting off the ground. There's even more surprises that await Jonny and Charlie, what could possibly make this any worse?

Morrison does so well in her cuckold sagas at setting the stage and developing the moments. A lot of erotica writers try this, showing you what the narrator or each character is thinking, but a lot of them just slow down the story with repetitive, too-long streams of consciousness that don’t add much. Morrison’s work better in part because she does so well at putting the thoughts in language that character would use. We see this series almost entirely from Jonny’s tortured and claustrophobic point of view - trapped in the apartment, forced to work, forced to wear a cage, and given sexually tormenting snippets of video from the trip. He clings to the belief that Charlie, at the end, will still be there for him, and not belong physically, sexually or mentally to their boxer landlord. And her depiction of Charlie manages to walk a razor-thin line. Charlie’s disgust with Reza must be palpable to Jonny to maintain his belief that they remain on the same side, but meanwhile her enjoyment of the luxuries Reza provides and his lovemaking must be real enough to maintain the threat he represents. Morrison manages to keep both these going at the same time.
